Friday the 9th of February was a Fantastic Friday for those feters in Geneva who came down to the official launch of Caribbean Vybez International in Europe. Village Du Soir, one of Geneva's larger venues was transformed and transported people to Trinidad's Carnival. A Caribbean themed bar, rum hut, carnival dancers, Caribbean flags, limbo, a conga line and other elements together created the atmosphere of the Caribbean. " Geneva needs more themed events like this, not just DJs but the decor, and details." said by one of the many partygoers at Caribbean Vybez launch party.
The event featured international DJs Mr General (Trinidad/UK) and Djahman (Guadeloupe/UK) along with local DJs GC Sound and Tenor Rock. The crowd learnt how to Palance, do a tornado, limbo and joined in on the conga line. "I'm very humbled by the turnout and feedback for my first event in Europe. I'm already working on the next events which will include boat rides, a Caribbean weekender, artist performances and more cultural activities." Ethan Auguste, founder of Caribbean Vybez International stated. "The goal in Europe is to continue spreading the culture and build a bridge to our existing platform in the United Arab Emirates."
